Generation Green

Georgia's newest generation of conservation leaders

Founded in 1994, Generation Green is an elected board of directors committed to supporting the Georgia Conservancy and its mission and programs. Generation Green empowers our communities to protect and enjoy Georgia’s outdoors through adventure trips, service projects and social and educational events.

In addition to supporting the Georgia Conservancy, Generation Green board members receive one-of-a-kind exposure to our organization's work to protect and conserve Georgia's natural resources - providing them with the knowledge, skills and relationships to advance their growing careers along a path of conservation and sustainability.

Sasha Friedman, Generation Green Board Chair, hails from the great state of Colorado. As an undergraduate, Sasha attended New York University, where she studied Public Policy with a focus on transportation and public health. After a few years in New York City post college, Sasha decided to attend the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, where she focused on Business Analytics. Sasha spent much of her time outside of class exploring the great Shenandoah and Blue Ridge Mountains. Sasha works in Product Marketing at Mailchimp, focusing on their mobile products. When she is not in the office, Sasha enjoys exploring the many hiking trails throughout Georgia with her pup Huckleberry and is passionate about sharing and protecting these beautiful spaces with the greater community.
