In addition to our many stewardship trips, the Georgia Conservancy hosts special events throughout the year to celebrate Georgia's land and water, honor champions of Georgia's natural resources, and to say thank you to our members and supporters.
We can't do this without the support from corporations and individuals, like you! Every year, dozens of sponsors help make to these events a reality.
Below are the Georgia Conservancy's annual events:
The Oyster Roast - Held every spring in Savannah, the Oyster Roast celebrates Georgia's coast and the decades of work that the Georgia Conservancy and our supporters have dedicated to protecting these fragile and ecologically-diverse 100 miles of coastline.
VERDE! - Generation Green's annual summer soiree, VERDE!, honors emerging environmental leaders in metro Atlanta with the Longleaf Award. Great live music, incredible local food, tasty beer and a gathering of some of Atlanta's top environmental leaders and organizations for a casual, summertime celebration - VERDE! has it all!
ecoBenefete - The Georgia Conservancy's premier annual gala, ecoBenefete annual honors an exceptional steward of Georgia's natural resources with the Distinguished Conservationist award. Last year, the Georgia Conservancy honored Ben Slade III, Executive Director of the St. Simons Land Trust, for his dedication to preserving Cannon's Point.
FIRELIGHT - In 2013, the Georgia Conservancy premiered FIRELIGHT to celebrate the Conservancy's wildly popular and ever-expanding stewardship trips program. And what a celebration it was! Hosted at Sweetwater Brewing Company's Reel Room, FIRELIGHT brings together trips alumni, volunteers, partners and future adventurers!
