Georgia Conservancy's Partners With Let's Raise a Million (LRAM) to Distribute CFLs
Georgia Conservancy members and, specifically, Generation Green turned out on Feb. 8 to partner with the LRAM program and join a crew of more than 180 volunteers to distribute and install high-efficiency lightbulbs in low-income communities in southwest Atlanta. Volunteers succeeded in installing nearly 1,400 compact flourescent bulbs in more than 100 homes. The realized energy savings from this effort equals the same effect as removing 100 cars from the road for one year!
