How to Make a Gift of Stock to the Georgia Conservancy

PREFERRED METHOD: ELECTRONIC TRANSFER FROM A BROKERAGE ACCOUNT

Step 1:

Call Kristen Plowman at SunTrust Securities (404-813-7311 or 1-800-874-4770, Option 4). Tell her to be aware of the stock transfer. Give her the following information:

Name and address of donor
Number of shares and name of security.
Georgia Conservancy's account name and number (Georgia Conservancy, #G1D043508); and
Ask her to call the Georgia Conservancy at 404-876-2900 x 116, to give notifcation when she receives the transfer.

Step 2:

Have your broker process the transfer in this manner:

Use DTC #0226
For further credit to the Georgia Conservancy's account #G1D043508.

Step 3 (VERY IMPORTANT):

Call the Georgia Conservancy at 404-876-2900 x 122, or write to the address below, to alert the development team to the gift (please include your name, address, phone number, name of security and number of shares). Your gift will be acknowledged by mail once the transfer has been made.

ALTERNATIVE METHOD: PAPER CERTIFICATE TRANSFER

Step 1:

Endorse the certificate(s) to: Georgia Conservancy, Inc. 817 West Peachtree St., Suite 200, Atlanta, Ga.  30308.

Step 2:

Send the certificate(s) to Ric Felker, vice president of advancement, at the same address. Your gift will be acknowledged via mail.
