Georgia DNR Sustainability Division

 

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources Sustainability Division reduces the impact of Georgia businesses and institutions on the environment by partnering with them to reduce waste and conserve natural resources. Thenon-regulatoryagency promotes and recognizes environmental leadership and performance through the Partnership for a Sustainable Georgia; assistsbusinesseswith waste or resource issues, including air, water, wastewater, and solid waste; and provides networking opportunities with regulatory and industry leaders to share ideas and craft solutions.

Open to any Georgia business or organization at no cost, the Partnership for a Sustainable Georgia provides assistance, direction and support to program partners as they move toward more sustainable workplaces and practices. Applications may be submitted online.


In 2007, the Georgia DNR Sustainability Division recognized the Georgia Conservancy as a bronze level partner in the Partnership for a Sustainable Georgia for significant work in

  • volunteering in community outreach activities
  • serving as a mentor to other organizations
  • sustaining natural resources
  • minimizing the Georgia Conservancy office’s environmental footprint
