2009 Home Sweet Home Habitat Art Contest

This contest is an interdisciplinary conservation education program that uses art to spark the imagination of elementary-aged students and foster a sense of discovery of the natural world, based on an annual theme focusing on protecting a specific Georgia habitat (i.e. Georgia's Rock Outcrops). A teacher's packet provides valuable lessons, background information, and the need for conservation of the chosen theme. Upon completion of the lessons, students gain an understanding of the conservation measures needed to protect the habitat. Click on the pictures to see all the winners!
