City of Atlanta Adopts NPU-G Report into Comprehensive Development Plan

Earlier this month, the City of Atlanta officially adopted our Blueprints report on Neighborhood Planning Unit (NPU) – G into its 2011 Comprehensive Development Plan. Completed in fall 2010, the NPU-G report created a master plan for the sustainable redevelopment of the west Atlanta neighborhood.

With its adoption into the City’s Comprehensive Development Plan, our Blueprints report will serve as a guideline for future development and redevelopment projects in the neighborhood, and developers will have to adhere to the report’s vision and recommendations when proposing new projects.

We want to thank all of our Blueprints staff as well as our partners on the project, including Georgia Tech’s College of Architecture, for all of their hard work in completing this project and seeing it through to adoption.

The Blueprints staff has been working closely with NPU-G leadership and the City of Atlanta to make the master plan suitable for adoption into the City of Atlanta’s Comprehensive Development Plan. This move will require any new development in the NPU-G community to meet the recommendations of the Blueprints master plan.
