This year's 4th annual summer soiree, VERDE!, was a wonderful success!  Thank you to all who came out to the Trolley Barn on June 28 to celebrate Jennifer Owens of Georgia Organics as she was honored with the Longleaf Award.  Her civic activism and dedication to sustainability are a gift to the state and align with the core mission of the Georgia Conservancy.

VERDE! offered guests all things local - local foods, local drinks and local music - in an eventful and unforgettable evening.

Tap - Generation Green's Newsletter

On June 28, Generation Green and the Georgia Conservancy will present Jennifer Owens, Advocacy Director of Georgia Organics, with the 2012 Longleaf Award at its 4th annual eco-chic soiree, Verde! This year’s Verde! will be held at the Trolley Barn in the historic Atlanta neighborhood of Inman Park.

The theme of the 2012 Verde! is “Boardwalk Empire” and will feature a carnival-themed menu of local foods and beverages, and entertainment by local bands.   Read more and register here.

Reece headshotJessica Lee Reece, Board President, practices law at Smith, Gambrell & Russell, where she specializes in Environmental, Natural Resources and Sustainability Law.  In addition to serving as board president of Generation Green, Reece serves as director of the Georgia Solar Energy Association Advisory Board. Reece is a foodie who suffers from wanderlust and spends much of her free time traveling the globe, hugging trees, listening to live music and seeking out the perfect meal. Read more>>
